Of Gaydar and Homophobes

Is there any intelligent, thought-provoking movie about homosexuality out there? You know, the type that doesn't turn into a stupid gay porn with hot guys banging to arouse female desires?

Here is one I would recommend. This is a brilliant Korean short film about social marginalization.

Synopsis: A handicapped boy, Min-So, was constantly bullied. One day, he had sex with the bathhouse scrubber, and gained a new confidence in life. However, what happens when he finds his lover being beaten by an angry customer? A heartbreakingly sad story about the realities of being different.

The next movie is a very hilarious take on homophobia by Japanese indie director Masaki Takahashi.

Sypnosis: High school teacher Tamotsu Nirasaki is a closet gay waiting to have his first encounter. A golden opportunity arrives in the form of Yu Shiatsu, a student who is trying to confess his love for a popular senior in school. What would Nirasaki do in pursuit of happiness? Funny as hell.

And lastly...

Take the Kinsey Test, designed to locate your sexuality on a spectrum. If you're curious about sexual orientations, now is a good time to find out!

(straight ---> slightly gay ---> gay ---> flamingly gay ---> necro).

Below is my result. I'm kinda disappointed as I wanted to experience lesbo sex at least once before I die, but try as I may, I am just not cut out for gayness lolz.
